For those of you who may or may not have seen, a few weeks ago I came up with these birthday cake stitch markers for my mom’s birthday. They were such a hit that she encouraged me to make some more and I decided it was time to go big, thus a whole line of stitch marker charm cuteness! I’m not a knitter, but even I can’t resist anything miniature. (Oh, and for those of you who may not be into the whole knitting scene either, stitch marker charms are used to—surprise, surprise—mark stitches when knitting. They basically are used to keep note of certain places in your project.) While I am mainly marketing them as stitch markers, they could realistically be used as any type of charm.
Here is a closer look at the designs so far:
While each charm is handmade by me (either out of polymer clay or filled small jars), I couldn’t have made the super awesome backgrounds without the help of my super awesome Cliffpro! He gave up his entire Saturday to design them for me!
I’m still trying to finalize the completed display/packaging for them, but I could no longer stand to keep them a secret! I’m toying with the idea of putting confetti in the bags (that will match each individual theme of course!), but I am still debating that one.
Hope you guys enjoy, and hopefully you will see these for sale soon at some local yarn/knitting shops! (They are available in my Etsy shop though!) If interested in purchasing any, feel free to send me a message. They will probably be about $10 per pouch. I put a lot of time and effort into these little guys—I hope it shows and you find them as “charm”ing as I do!
